Credit Controller, Alexandria

Job Description

• Portfolio Management: Take full ownership of the credit control function for our head office accounts, managing receivables and ensuring clients adhere to agreed payment terms
• Proactive Collection: Follow up regularly on outstanding invoices and aged debt through professional phone calls, emails, and direct client communications
• Risk and Credit Assessment: Evaluate credit limits and payment history for new and existing B2B clients, international agents, and corporate accounts in line with corporate financial policies
• Ledger Reconciliation: Work closely with the Alexandria accounting team to perform monthly reconciliations of customer accounts, allocate received payments accurately, and clear outstanding balances
• Dispute Resolution: Coordinate with the sales, ticketing, and yachting operations teams to quickly resolve billing queries, invoice discrepancies, or client disputes

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
• Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven experience in credit control, cash collection, or accounts receivable. Prior background in travel, hospitality, shipping, or logistics is highly advantageous
• Languages: Excellent command of English (both written and spoken) is required to handle communications with international corporate partners
• Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and assertive yet professional communication skills
  • High proficiency in MS Excel and experience working with corporate ERP accounting software
  • Sharp analytical skills with strict attention to numerical accuracy
• Location: Must be based in or able to commute daily to our Alexandria Head Office
